A native of Syracuse, NY, Beaty earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training at Mercyhurst University. Upon graduating with her Bachelors, Beaty returned to Mercyhurst to become a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer while studying to get her Masters in Exercise Science. As a GA, Beaty worked with the Football and Baseball programs. During the 2014-2015 year, football and baseball had very successful seasons. After finishing her degree and graduate assistantship, Beaty took a fellowship position at Furman University in Greenville, SC working with the Men’s Lacrosse team for the 2015-2016 season. Once she completed her fellowship, she was elevated as a full-time staff athletic trainer working with the Women’s Basketball and Women’s Tennis teams for the 2016-2017 season. That season Furman’s Women’s Tennis Team captured the Southern Conference (SoCon) title and earned a berth into the 2017 NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship in Chapel Hill, NC.
Beaty returned to Pennsylvania following her stint at Furman for a position at Bucknell University primarily working with Men’s Soccer, Women’s Lacrosse, and Swimming and Diving. Her administrative roles included being the Sports Medicine Liaison for the Healthy Eating Assessment and Referral Team and the Social Media Coordinator for the Bucknell Sports Medicine Twitter account.
