Hirtzel Field- The Home of Saints Baseball

Dedicated on September 19, 1993, Hirtzel Field is the home of the Saint's Baseball team. The left- and right-field lines measure 335 feet from home plate. Straight away to center field extends 400 feet and the power alley ends at 385. Its major league dimensions are not the only perks of the baseball diamond.

In 1995, the 1995 North Atlantic Regional Baseball Tournament was held at Hirtzel Field.

The field is named for the late North East, PA, businessman, industrialist and philanthropist, Philip D. Hirtzel, whose legacy in North East was that of quietly financing local students' college studies.

Vineyard Field- The Home of Saints Softball

Construction on Vineyard field began in the fall of 2006. In the spring of 2007, the fence was erected and the scoreboard was installed. In the summer of 2007, the infield dirt was brought in. Just before Labor Day 2007, the grass was planted and by Nov 1st, the field was playable. In 2010 the new dugouts were completed.

The Saints first game at Vineyard Field was on April 8th, 2008.

Liguori Fieldhouse- The Home of Saints Basketball, Volleyball and Wrestling

The Ligouri Fieldhouse is home of the Mercyhurst North East Saints men's basketball and women's basketball and women's volleyball team. Built in 1966, and recently remodeled in 1996, the Fieldhouse features a gymnasium with a $70,000 hardwood floor, physical fitness and training rooms and shower and locker rooms.

This multi-purpose facility is open to all students as well as the law enforcement professionals enrolled in the Municipal Police Academy located at Mercyhurst North East.

Vineyard Field- The Home of Saints Soccer and Lacrosse

Located within MNE's beautiful grape vineyards, Vineyard Field is home to both the men's and women's soccer teams in the fall and the men's lacrosse team in the Spring. The field is 105 yards long and 70 yards in width. The seating capacity is 200 people and provides a great atmosphere to watch soccer and lacrosse.

Just to the west of the the field, a new practice field was built in the summer of 2005. The new field is elevated above the game field and will serve all four teams as a place to practice.

Lake View Country Club – The Home of Saints Golf

Lake View Country Club was organized in 1958 with the first round of golf played on Memorial Day of 1959. As the Erie area's premier test of golf, Lake View was built by Donald Ross protégé James Gillmore Harrison and has hosted several prestigious tournaments, including the West Penn Amateur Championship and the Pennsylvania State Amateur Championship.

Located in the quaint town of North East, Lake View's course measures 6854 yards and plays to a par of 72. Lake View Country Club is considered one of the most challenging golf courses in the region with fairways and greens that are second to none, and is the only course in the area which boasts a premier short game facility.

Mercyhurst North East Fitness Center

The fitness center is open Monday thru Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. On the weekend, the fitness center is opened from 12:00 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Mercyhurst North East Aquatic Center

The pool is the home of the Mercyhurst University Men's and Women's Water Polo teams. Along with hosting water polo matches, the pool is open to students, faculty and staff and has open swim hours throughout the year for the North East community.

The pool will be open for community swim on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. for a cost of $2.00 per swimmer.

It will also be open in the evening on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. for a cost of $3.00 per swimmer.

All Mercyhurst employees and students may use the pool for free by presenting a university id card during those times.
