Saints win streak ends at 4

Mercyhurst played Monroe CC in a non-region double header and dropped both games by the scores of 3-2, 3-0. In game it was pitching duel between MNE starter Tyler Slepski and MCC hurler Dylan Sheffer. The Saints got on the board first after leadoff hitter AJ Thompson hit a single and stole second. Cam Balego hit a deep fly ball that got Thompson to 3rd Alonge grounded out to second to score Thompson. MNE trailed 2-1 entering the 7th Schrantz drew a one out walk and Cody Pitzo walked to put runners on 1st out. Tyler Ocker drove his second double of the game in the left center gap to score pinch runner Alex Glatch and tie the game.

In the 8th inning Mercyhurst left the bases loaded after Jake Bulick hit a hard line drive to second base to end the scare. MCC put one run across in the 8th winning single to score Carolina. Alex Glatch got the loss in relief for MNE.

In game two the Saints just could not find a timley hit as Robert Mack pitched 5 innings allowing one hit and 3 runs, two earned for his 1st could squeeze a run across. Austin Alonge had two hits and Tyler Slepski had a big pinch hit single for North East.
