Saints drop Series to ACM

Sloppy defense and a lack of clutch hits doomed the Mercyhurst North East Saints against Allegany College of Maryland. The Saints committed 6 errors and gave up 10 hits and lost game one 12-1. Brian Casiano had two hits for the Saints.

In game two the Saints didn't get on the board until the bottom of the 6th. After Brian Casiano and Drew Delsginore opened the frame with back to back hits, Scott Pierce smashed a ball down the 3rd base line that was stabbed by 3rd baseman Tanner Klien and he was able to turn a double play. Michael Montalbano followed it up with an RBI single to score Delsginore. Nick Woloschak got the loss after throwing 3 2/3 innings allowing 5 runs and 3 earned. Joe Grober threw 2 1/3 scoreless innings.
