MNE beats OCC in Extra Innings, split double header

It took an extra frame for MNE to beat Onondaga CC 7-4 in game one of the double header. Scott Pierce led the Saints with two hits including a 3 run homerun. Drew Delsignore added two hits as well for the Saints.

OCC was trailing 4-1 headed to the 7th after Nolan Freeman was crusing for the Saints. The Lazers rallied to score 3 in the 7th and Dalton Donachie escape a jam with the winning run 90 feet away to force extra innings.

In extra's Jesse Staudt got hit by a pitch, Drew Delsignore reached on an error and Scott Pierce singled before Mike Montalbano hit a double down the line to score two to give the Saints the lead. Pierce ended up coming in on a wild pitch and added the insurance run.

Dalton Donachie earned the win in relief.

In game two OCC jumped all over Saints starter Nick Woloschak. The Saints battled back but the comeback fell short. OCC won game two 10-5. Zach Miller had a double and 3 rbi and Tommy Cannon added a double and two rbi for MNE.
