MNE splits in final two games of series at Potomac State

MNE managed to salavge a split in the final two games of a four game set with Potomac State.

In game one Nolan Freeman pitched well but just couldn't catch a break. The Saints trailed 8-1 after three but they came storing back with one run in the 4th and five in the 5th inning to make it an 8-7 game. It just wasnt enough as Potomac State went on to win 15-7. Jesse Staudt had a monster weekend for the Saints as he was a perfect 4-4 in game one. Scott Pierce and Pedro Peguero added two hits apiece as well. The Saints tallied 13 hits in game one and 16 in game two.

In game two Nick Woloschak gave the Saints the start they needed. He held the Catamount offense to just 5 runs on 10 hits and struck out 4. Jesse Staudt stayed perfect on the day with a 3-3 effort in game two. Zach Miller, Peguero, Pierce, Blaze Cahmberlain, and Luke Baranchak all had two hits.

MNE is now 12-9 on the season and will play a double header at Cuyahoga Community College  March 29th starting at 4:00 pm.
