The Saints kept their strong fall season Going with a Saturday Sweep over Lakeland CC 12-4 and 4-3 in extra innings.
In the opener, Mike Nuzzo picked up his first collegiate complete game Victory throwing 7 innings, scattering 6 hits, giving up 3 runs (2 earned), while striking out 6.
In the nightcap, Nate McKenrick turned in a strong 5 innings of 2 hit baseball giving up only 3 runs (2 earned) and striking out one. In the final 3 frames, sophomore closer Zach Barrett shut down the Lakeland office giving up only one hit and striking out one.
In the bottom of the eighth, sophomore Kenny Robinson reached with a base hit and advanced to third base via a Tyler Cannon rocket to left center. A pitch later, the Saints mobbed at second base after Blaze Chamberlain delivered the final blow an RBI double to left center
On Sunday, the Saints won game two of the series to earn the split with Mercyhurst University with scores of 7-1 and 6-5.
Freshman Ace Mike Jones went 6 strong innings allowing 6 hits, 3 earned runs in the losing effort. Noah Suarez tossed the 7th giving up 2 runs on 3 hits.
The Saints showed their resilience and capped off homecoming weekend with a 6-5 win in walk off fashion. In the bottom of the 6th Josh Anderson and Noah Suarez had back to back knocks to give The Saints a 5-3 lead going into the 7th.
Nolan Freeman showed up in a big way throwing 6 innings allowing 7 hits, 2 runs (1 earned), and striking out 3. In the 7th, sophomore Dalton Donachie took over and finished the frame giving up two earned runs on 3 hits.
In the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs, freshman Logan Snyder walked. Pinch hitter Tommy Cannon entered the game and reach first on an infield single when a throwing error by the third basemen allowed Snyder to scamper towards home from first just in time to beat the tag.
The saints are currently 5-2 on the season and return to action Friday September 30th for a 4pm double header at Slippery Rock University

-Blaze Chamberlain hot .455 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI
-Noah Suarez hit .600 with a timely double and drove in 3 runs.
-Santos Cruz had 5 hits and reached base 7 times, yielding an OBP of 667.
-Logan Snyder hit .444 with 3 walks
-Tyler Cannon hit 600 and drove in two over the weekend. He also lined out 3 times.
-Josh Anderson was 2 for 3 against the lakers in game 2 to surge the Saints' offense.
-Luke Baranchak and Mike Jones tripled.
