Saints Sweep Opening Day

Saints Sweep Opening Day

In the night cap of opening day, Coach Marinelli granted the ball to uncommitted sophomore Casey Radka, who went 4 strong innings giving up 2 hits, 1 ER, and posting 2 K's and 5 BB. The Saints offense came out a little flat to start this one, but that quickly changed when the Saints stepped to the plate in their half of the 6th inning. After drawing 3 consecutive walks, the Saints strung together hits from Aaron Pawlak, Pad O'Shaughnessy, and Chris Reilly. Those were immediatley followed up by a long home run off the bat of Nick Petrolla, which sparked the 10-6 win for the Saints.

Padraig O'Shaughnessy had a productive day from the plate in game two going 3 for 4, with an RBI. Brandon Scheidemantle also went 3-4, while collecting an RBI.

The Saints are back in action today as they take on St. Clair CC and Henry Ford College.
