Big First Half Paces the Saints Over B3C

Big First Half Paces the Saints Over B3C

The men's basketball team has started to 2014-15 season 2-0 as they beat Butler Country Community College 80-63 on Wednesday evening.

The Saints played a big first half as they looked to assert themselves early as the better team by taking a 41-26 lead at halftime. Although B3C would keep it even in the second, they couldn't seem to overcome the first half deficit as the final score saw the Saints with the win 80-63.

Justin Dobbs, Brandon Wilkins, Gerrell Williams and Johnell Free paced the Saints offensively with each scoring in double figures while Wilkins and Williams also each recorded 10 boards for the Saints.

"Despite not shooting the ball well, I was happy with our defensive effort. It is always a good feeling to see your guys grind out a win," says head coach David Gahan.

The Saints have a couple days rest until they are back in action on November 15th when they travel to Cuyahoga CC.
