Men's Basketball Falls to Cuyahoga Community College

(December 11, 2014) The Saints were back in action at Ligouri Fieldhouse on Thursday evening as they hosted Cuyahoga Community College in a non-conference match-up. The Saints battled Cuyahoga last month to a double over time loss at CCC.

In first half action, despite out shooting CCC 43% to 38%, the Saints found themselves down 10 at halftime with a score of 36-46. A Key factor in the defieciet was a minor injury suffered by Saints Justin Dobbs in the first half. Dobbs was on his way to having a standout game with 15 points and 6-8 from the field when he had to leave the game with an injury.

In the second half, Tri-C would continue to pull away as they rolled to a 87-64 victory. Individual highlights for the game included Johnell Free with a team high 19 points, Gerrell Williams with a solid all around game with 7 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks, while Dobbs added 15 points in 15 minutes of play.

The Saints drop to 6-3 on the year and travel to Monroe Community College this weekend to compete in the Annual MCC Tournament.
