Saints Slip at Home to NCCC

In the bitter cold this weekend, the men's basketball team hosted WNYAC opponent Niagara County Community College.

In first half action, the Saints came out even with NCCC and the game remained close for the duration of the half. The difference in the first half was on the boards, as NCCC out rebounded MNE 23-14, which helped give them a 40-33 first half lead.

In the second half, the Saints corrected some errors and made a strong push to get back into the game, but couldn't quite get the spark they needed to come through as they were outscored by only 2 points in the second, 46-44. Taking the final score to 86-77.

Individual highlights from the game included Jalen Jackson and Justin Dobbs each having a team high 21 points, while Johnell Free chipped in with 16 off the bench.

The Saints are back in action as they host Jamestown-Olean on Thursday evening  at 7:00 for their last home game of the season.
