North East, Pa- The Mercyhurst North East men's basketball team dropped their 4thconsecutive conference game on Saturday afternoon, falling to Genesee Community College in a 78-77.
In a back and forth contest that showed seven lead changes, the Saints held the upper hand the majority of the game until the final possession.
With 23 seconds left in regulation and the Saints down 76-75, Mercyhurst fouled Lamel Faison of Genesee who went to the line for a 1 and 1 opportunity.

Free gave the ball to freshmen point guard Omar Little Jr. who came off a high ball screen with 12 seconds left and hit a clutch 3 pointer to give the Saints a 78-76 leading to a Genesee timeout.
Coming out of the timeout the Genesees' Anthoney Williams drove the right elbow lane, kicking it out to sharp shooter Devante Carolina who hit a step back three to win the game as time expired.
Genesee improves to 17-8 (5-4) in conference play while the Saints fall to 15-8 (3-4).
The Saints are back in action Tuesday, February 9thas they host Niagara County Community College for a 7:30 p.m. tip at Mercyhurst North East.
