Saints Fall 104-100

The Mercyhurst North East men's basketball team dropped a tightly contested game at Butler CCC last night by a final score of 100-104.

The Saints found themselves on the road for the second consecutive night for the first time all year and fatigue seemed to be a factor.

Missing some keys players due to minor injuries, the Saints were shorthanded and the Pioneers of Butler were able to take advantage with some sharp shooting throughout the night.

Guards Tyler Williams and Ethan Lambert led the Saints offense. Williams had 26 points and seven rebounds while running mate Lambert added 25 and six assists.

Ian McNeill had another big night down low going for 23 points and 12 rebounds.

The loss drops the saints record to 8-5 overall as they head into Christmas break. The Saints are back in action Saturday at Montgomery CC as they participate in the Montgomery College Holiday Tournament.
