On Wednesday, October 8th, the men's soccer team proved too much for an under matched Lorain County Community College. The Saints dominated most of the play and ended the match with an 8-0 win, bringing the saints overall record to 9-4-0.
On Saturday, the Saints played against a perennial powerhouse, Owens Community College. It took thirty minutes of even play until OCC found the back of the net giving them a 1-0 advantage, which would hold through to halftime. As the second half got underway, a mixture of physical play and injuries for the Saints, gave OCC numerous scoring opportunities. They capitalized on 5 different chances in the second half, with MNE scoring their lone goal on a penalty kick by Michael Lennox in the final 3 minutes of play, bringing the final score to 6-1, OCC. With the lose, the Saints dropped to 9-5-0 on the season.
The Saints are back in action on Wednesday 10/15 when they host their final home match of the 2014 season against Penn State New Kensington.
