Kiersten Coho did pulled double duty Saturday morning against Corning Community College as the Saints defeated the Barons on a chilly morning in Maryland.
Coho pitched a complete game, and also hit two home runs to help lead the Saints to their fifth win in a row.
Things didn't start off so great as the Corning pitcher stuck out the side in the top of the first, and then had two hits to take a 1-0 lead after one inning.
In the second, with two out, Coho lifted a pitch high and deep to left and it stayed just inside the foul pole to tie the game at one. It was Coho's first home run of the year.
In the third, the Saints used speed and a couple of Baron errors to score two more runs. In the fourth, the Saints got another home run by Coho, almost identical to her first one.
Corning put pressure on Coho, scoring two more runs but the sophomore pitcher wouldn't break, getting big outs when she needed them.
The Saints improve to 10-11 on the year and will look to keep it going as play continues in Maryland later on Saturday.
