Errors Doom Saints vs NI

After a game like Friday nights loss to North Idaho, the Saints can safely say they have nowhere to go but up.

Mercyhurst North East committed 14 errors in a game, the most in the history of the program as they moved to 0-2 early in their season.

The Saints seemed to have everything under control as they led 5-3 going into the fifth inning. A walk and three errors left the Saints down a run when they returned to the dugout. Five more errors in the seventh put the game out of reach.

Justine Dean was tagged with the loss, despite allowing just 2 earned runs.

The Saints recorded six hits, but no player tallied two. Dean hit an RBI double in the 3rd inning.

MNE will be back at it, looking to improve quickly when they play two more games Saturday in Florida.
