Four Saints Named NFCA All Region

All Region

Mercyhurst North East had four players named to the NFCA All East Region team this weekend. The East region is comprised of states as far west as Michigan, and as far south as South Carolina. Having four players honored is a credit to the Saints amazing season.

Making the first team were Tori Harding, Asja Johnson, and Sierra Reid. Chey Hindman was named to the second team.

Harding, a sophomore, closed out her wonderful career with a .377 batting average, 10 home runs, 15 doubles, and led the team with 57 RBIs. Harding also pitched for the Saints, finishing the season with a 5-1 record and an ERA of 3.50.

Asja Johnson, a freshman, hit .402 for the Saints and led the team with 15 home runs, the most ever by a freshman at MNE. She also drove home 47 RBIs while playing third base for the Saints.

Reid, a freshman, led the Saints with .435 batting average and added 53 RBIs. She was second on the team with 17 doubles. As a pitcher, Reid had an ERA of 3.10 with a record of 15-5.

Hindman, a freshman, did a little of everything for the Saints. In the circle, she led the staff with an ERA of 2.37. As a hitter, she had a .397 batting average with 11 home runs and 39 RBIs.

The Saints finished the season with a record of 41-17.
