Saints Introduce Newest Additions to 2014 Squad

(North East, PA) Currently, the Saints Soccer team has added nine new freshman to their 2014 squad. Deja Dixon(Strong Vincent HS), Alexis Mills (Mercer HS), Megan McKinney (Mercer HS), Erika Riker (Corry HS),Tiffini Keyes ( Randolph Central HS, NY), Mikayla Cagnoli (Iroquois HS), Miranda Owen (Dunkirk HS, NY) and Dahlaney Sargent (Fort Lebouef HS) and Kym Braine (Seneca HS) have all committed to Mercyhurst North East. 

Deja Dixon is a center midfielder from Strong Vincent HS. She was a first team all-region selection as a senior and will provide some solid midfield play to the Saints.

Alexis Mills is an Erie Times All District team selection from Mercer HS. She will add a lot of athleticism, solid play and leadership to the Saints defense this fall.

Megan McKinney is an all-region selection from Mercer HS, who helped her team win the District 10 title this past fall. She will add depth and options to the attack for the Saints

Erika Riker is a standout player for Corry HS. She made huge strides her senior year and will compete as an outside midfielder for the Saints

Tiffini Keyes is a solid goalkeeper from Randolph HS in New York. She will add lots of depth, leadership and athleticism to the goalkeeping for the Saints this fall

Mikayla Cagnoli is an all-region selection from Iroquois HS. She brings a physical aspect that will help the Saints attack this fall.

Miranda Owens is a standout defender for Dunkirk HS in New York. She will bring athleticism and solid play to the Saints in the back.

Dahlaney Sargent is a goalkeeper from Fort LeBouef high school. She helped her team become a strong contender in D10 her junior and senior year. She will add depexperience and leadership to the goalkeeping spot

Kym Brain is an all-region selection from Seneca High school. She helped established Seneca as a district contender her senior year in goal. She will bring athleticism, vocal and solid goalkeeping to the Saints this fall.

"We are extremely happy with the quality of student/athletes that have committed to Mercyhurst North East. It should make for a very exciting season for us. With what we are looking to add in addition to these players and our returners, we have the potential to be the best team in program history," says head coach Jacob Hordych.
