The women's soccer team added to their recent unbeaten streak by moving it to 4 games by beating visiting Westmoreland CC 3-0.
In first half action, the Saints out shot Westmoreland 22-5, however the Saints could not find the back of the net. It wasn't until the final seconds of the first half that Amanda Sonney broke free to beat the keeper as time expired, however the officials decided to call back the goal claiming there was no proof it crossed the line before time expired. Halftime score was 0-0.
Upset with the called back goal, the Saints came out firing in the second half and Megan McKinney quickly found the back of the net five minutes into the second half as she received a pass from Harley Boyd and beat the keeper. Twenty Minutes later, Anna Reynolds would receive a ball from Haley Schwindt and take a couple touches across the 18 and have a left footed strike to the upper 90, making the score 2-0. In the final ten minutes of play, Deja Dixon took a shot from outside the 18, after a keeper deflection Harley Boyd was there for the finish bringing the final to 3-0, for the win.
With the win, the Saints move to 3-1-1 on the season and are back in action on Wednesday as they take on local rival Jamestown Community College at 5:00 PM on vineyard Field.
