The women's soccer team moved to 7-1-1 on the season as they cruised past Penn State Beaver, with a final score of 11-1.
In first half action, it only took the Saints 43 seconds to get on the board when Harley Boyd drilled a shot from the corner of the 18, which hit the cross bar for a rebound follow from Karlee Kosaniak with the finish. The scoring would continue as Haley Boyd would score the next two goals, while Amanda Sonney would find the back of the net twice and Megan McKinney would add one of her own. The Lions would eventually get one themselves when they beat Dahlaney SArgent near post for a finish and moving the halftime score to 6-1.
In the second half, the Saints would continue their goal scoring as Karlee Kosaniak would find a second goal on the day, and Harley Boyd would complete her hat trick with a second half goal. Then goalkeeper, Kym Braine, took to the field and had a stellar finish giving her a goal, along with Deja Dixon drilling a penalty kick. The scoring ended when Sarah Ritz would take a strike from the 18 yard box that deflected off a defender and found the back of the net, giving her, her first collegiate goal of her career.
Assists were credited to Haley Schwindt (2), Karlee Kosaniak (2), Harley Boyd, Sarah Ritz, Anna Reynolds, Brittany Edwards, Megan McKinney and Kym Braine. Dahlaney Sargent made 8 saves in net for the Saints.
The Saints are back in action on Saturday as they travel to Monroe Community College as they face off against the Tribunes at 1:00 PM.
