Women's Soccer Goes 1-1 in Maryland

On Monday, the Saints faced off against Frederick CC of Maryland. With setting a new school mark on Saturday for wins in a season at 10, the Saints looked to add to their record. In first half action, the Saints came out to a quick start when Amanda Sonney, Harley Boyd and Megan McKinney each found the back of the net in the first half, giving the Saints the 3-0 edge.

As the second half began, the Saints kept the pressure on but would only capitalize one more time when Harley Boyd would score her second of the game. Assists were credited to the same three players, with Sonney having two and Boyd and McKinney each adding one of their own. Kym Braine recorded her second shutout in a row in net for the Saints.

On Tuesday, the Saints traveled past Baltimore to play against a stellar Harford CC. Harford proved from the first whistle to be the better team scoring multiple time in the opening minutes of play. The Saints would find a couple opportunities but just couldn't finish. Harford ended the game winning by a score of 11-0.

The Saints ended the week with an overall record of 11-5-1 and are back in action on Sunday when they play Fairmont State at home at 1:00.
