On Saturday, the women's soccer team hosted Lorain County Community College in a non-conference match-up.
In first half action, the Saints got on the board in the 15th minute when Kristi Williams served a ball from the right side to an on running Emillie Shaffer for the one touch finish. Three minutes later Raven Magrino would find a nice through ball from Taylor Zachar for a break away in which was placed perfectly in the side of the net giving the Saints a 2-0 lead. Kristi Williams, Ariana Parker and Morgan York would all find the back of the net in the first half as well. Lorain would find a goal when a deflection happened in the Saints box that resulted in an LCCC goal. The score going into the half was 5-1.
As the second half got underway, the Saints would add a couple more goals as Emillie Shaffer, Taylor Zachar and Sammie Weinheimer each tallied a second half goal. The final score was 8-1 in favor of the Saints.
The 7 players scoring were: Emillie Shaffer, Raven Magrino, Ariana Parker, Krisiti Williams, Taylor Zachar, Sammie Weinheimer and Morgan York. Assists were credited to Raven Magrino, Taylor Zachar with 3, and Kristi Williams with 2.
With the win, the Saints move to 2-4-0 on the season and are back in action on Monday, September 26th when they travel to Westmoreland Community College for another non-conference match up.
