The women's soccer team traveled to Lorain County Community College to take on the Commodores this past weekend. The Saints came out with the 1-0 win while out shooting the Commodores 20-5.
Saints sophomore Maggie Pourrajabi recorded her first collegiate goal in the win when Raven Magrino ripped a shot from inside of the 18' which deflected back out in play to an on running Pourrajabi who had a one touch finish for the goal and what proved to be the game winner.
The Saints had a controversial goal called back in the second half, when Magrino again ripped a shot that deflected off the cross bar and Shamsi Nur finished the goal, only to have it called back on a questionable off-sides call.
Sophomore goalkeeper Jordan Turzak recorded 5 saves for the shut-out in goal.
The Saints are now 1-3-0 and will travel to Jamestown Community College to take on the Jayhawks on Wednesday, September 13 with a 5:00 p.m. kick off.
