The women's soccer team traveled to Highmark Stadium, the home of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, to take on the Point Park JV squad. The Saints, trying to rebound from their recent loss to #4 Monroe CC, came out a little slow in the first half as most of the first 45 was played on the Saints defensive half. Taylor Zachar of he Saints had 2 great chances on frame, but the Pioneers goalkeeper came up with huge saves on both of the shots. At the half, the Saints would trail 0-1.

In the second half, the Saints settled in and found more of a rhythm moving the ball and found chances with quick counterattacks. It was with 19 minutes to go, when Shamsi Nur took on an outside back on the corner of the box, played a hard pass across the goal to an on running Raven Magrino and a Pioneer defender, the pass deflected off the Pioneer defender and into the back of the net for the equalizer. In the final 15 minutes, both teams would have some opportunities but neither could find the game winner as the score would stay 1-1 through regulation.

Jordan Turzak recorded 9 saves in goal for the Saints. The Saints are back in action this weekend when they travel to Niagara County Community College to take on the Thunderwolves.
