This past weekend, five Lady Saints were named to the NJCAA Region III Division I All-Region team. Taylor Zachar, Sammie Weinheimer, Raven Magrino, Shamso Nur and Lydia Beers were each selected to the team.

Taylor Zachar, a sophomore midfielder, lead the team in points with 12. She recorded 3 goals and 6 assists over the season. She was a 2 year All-Region selection and ended her 2 year career ranked 11th overall for career points for the Saints and ranked #3 overall for single season assists.

Sammie Weinheimer, a sophomore defender, was the anchor in the back for the Saints. She was selected to the all-region team both as a freshman and sophomore. She recorded 1 assists during her 2017 campaign.

Raven Magrino, a sophomore midfielder, was 3rd on the team in points, having scored 3 goals and passed out 4 assists on the year for a total of 10 points. Magrino ended her career ranked #16 in all time points for the Saints.

Shamso Nur, a freshman forward, was second on the team in points with 5 goals and 1 assists for a total of 11 points. Shamso played in all 15 games for the Saints and ended her freshman campaign ranked #32 in all time points for the Saints.

Lydia Beers, a freshman defensive center mid, helped anchor the midfield this season. She brought a toughness to the midfield that mixed with her distribution made her a force in the middle of the field. Beers started all 15 games for the Saints.

"The coaching staff is very proud of these 5 girls on their achievement," says Head Coach Jacob Hordych. "These players truly deserved to be recognized for their stellar play this fall". Sophomores Taylor Zachar, Sammie Weinheimer and Raven Magrino became only the 11,12 and 13 players in Saints history to be selected to the All-Region team as a freshman and sophomore.
