Volleyball Falls to JCC in Pink Game

On Thursday evening, the volleyball team hosted their annual pink game to help support breast cancer awareness. The Saints hosted Jamestown Community College in a WNYAC match-up.

The Saints got off to a great start and looked to take game 1 when they were leading 24-19, but JCC found a way to rattle off 7 concsecutive points to give them the game 1 win 24-26. The Saints stayed strong and rallied in the 2nd game as they evened the wins 1-1, with a 25-13 key victory.

Game 3 proved to swing the momentum back to JCC as the two sides battle to a strong finish but the Jayhawks came out on top 23-25. With the momentum, JCC looked to easily take game four 11-15, which turned out to be the final game giving the Jayhawks the 3-1 win.

Throughout the game, there were Pink contests, prizes, t-shirts and donations that were given and all proceeds helped support the "Patti's Pink Warriors", a local organization run by Patti Stempka to help find a cure for breast cancer.

The Saints are back in action on Saturday as they travel to Cuyahoga Community College for an 11:00 a.m. start.
