Volleyball Season Comes to a Close at WNYAC Tournament

The volleyball squad traveled to Monroe Community College this past weekend in Rochester, NY to compete in the WNYAC (Western New York Athletic Conference) tournament. The first round of the tournament was group play which saw the Saints matched up against Erie CC. The Saints started off the tournament on a high note beating ECC 2-0. Highlights from the match included Tia Mastascusa with 8 kills, Mackenzie Turner with 16 assists and Teah Bines with 8 digs.

In the second game, the Saints faced off against #1 seed Monroe CC. Which ever team won the game, would move on to the conference finals. The Saints came out strong and took g the first game 25-22, the Saints unfortunately dropped the next two games 19-25 and 7-15. Monroe CC would advance to the finals. Highlights from the game included Rose Thacker's 14 kills, Teah Bines 11 digs and Mackenzie Turner's 28 assists.

Before the tournament got underway the WNYAC All-Conference teams were announced, Saints standout Rose Thacker was named to the All-WNYAC First Team for her impressive play throughout the 2015 season.

The Saints ended their season 7-18 and were 3-4 in the conference.
