Coach Rachel Pacholke has been coaching women's volleyball at Mercyhurst North East since 2012.  She is an alumni from Mercyhurst North East, graduating in 2006.  Pacholke was a duel sport student/athlete, competing in volleyball and softball. She was also a Resident Assistant her sophomore year.

In 2018, the Saints finished 17-10, a program best. The Saints conquered their first time District champions and made a first appearance at the National tournament. Pacholke was honored with WNYAC Coach of the Year along with District L Coach of the Year.

During her time at Mercyhurst she was a team captain and all region performer in volleyball. In softball she helped the Saints to back to back WNYAC Championships in 2005 and 2006, she was the 2006 Female Athlete of the Year, NFCA All East Team selection and was the WNYAC Player of the Year.

After graduating from MNE, Pacholke then transferred to Indiana Wesleyan University in continue her career in softball. While there she helped IWU have a 3rd place finish in the NCCAA, which led to a bid into the NAIA National Tournament.

After IWU, Pacholke transferred to Southern Wesleyan University in South Carolina and in 2008 Graduated with BA in Arts with Recreation Leisure Studies. She played softball for the Warriors and was a team captain in 2008. 

Prior to coming to MNE, Pacholke coached Women’s Volleyball for three seasons at Lakeland CC. (Kirtland, Ohio)(2009-2011). Coach Pacholke also coached women’s fast pitch at Lake Erie College in spring 2012 where she was an assistant coach.

Rachel Pacholke is now involved with the Student Life Department and serves as Assistant Student Life Director. In 2017, Pacholke was awarded the Commitment to Mission Award. She contributes with service learning, community services, student government, the wellness program, intramurals, and outreach events around campus. She likes to keep softball & volleyball alumnus together by being the alumni coordinator for games, events, and reunions.
